Try to educate your partner.
Share with your partner just to release without asking them to change their behavior.
Not share with your partner, feel the trigger, emotionally release the trigger.
When releasing the trigger, you can do that through feeling it, accepting it, removing resistance to it, dissociating from it.
You can as well release it through high energy activation like pushing your body, dynamic breathing or other energy activation techniques.
You can as well learn from your experience and discover ways not to get exposed to this specific trigger situation.
All of these are valid strategies.
Asking your partner to change their behavior is just one of them.
