The fire breath fills you - TIP

It is an ecstatic flow of delicious beauty that fills your whole being.

It is the awakening of your life force through this tantric sexual play.

The waves of desire that wake up in you are flames of pleasure.

3 hours/day intensity training - One week after start - NOTE

I am stunned by a few things:

First the fact that I have been happily training for a week now on average 3 hours/day.

I knew it was within range but this confirms it for the third time.

These are biking uphill to get to the gym or to the forest track, fitness sessions, body pump, weight and machines training, forest track with exercises, swimming, yoga and stretching sessions, etc.

So far it works incredibly well.

My body seems to recover very fast and it is within the range of what is really fun and possible.

My body is the lightest it has been in a long time.

This means that not carrying an extra 4 to 8 pounds makes it very easy to go for endurance, jog, sprint, etc.

On a diet level, I am now at 99% raw.

No animal products for a long time now.

No eggs, no dairy, no supplements (just a multi vitamin tablet in my drink when I train but could do without it)

No extra protein.

What I notice on my body level:

First, it is the fact that I am high on energy. I feel high in my body but not extreme. I feel balanced! No struggle.

I go forward with my green smoothies and energy mixes (seeds, veges, fruit flour, oils, etc)

I still use a little dried fruit but go for energy mixes when I eat.

On a body level I notice as well that the little fat I had on the midsection is melting.

In a way, I am surprised that it's not melting faster and that's one of the key questions I have right now.

Through my intensity training, I probably added a good one hour training at least 3 times a week.

The intensity of my training sessions is higher as well.

Overall I would estimate this to a 30% increase in calories burned in training sessions during this last week period compared with the weeks before.

I feel that the amount of calories I eat is steady. I get the feeling that it's even slightly less than before.

So, in my estimates, I could be burning an extra 300-500 calories/day through this intensity training rhythm.

I get the feeling that this should show more clearly on my body and the visible small midsection fat parts that are left.

That's a question, something I still need to understand....
  • After one week intensity training, the fat zones are not disappearing as fast as I thought - Why?
I want to say again, that I am talking about maybe 1 or 2 pounds of very small fat visible in the mid section. That's NOT much but simply wonder what holds that fat for longer than I thought.

I want as well to know if there is anything I can do nutrition or exercise wise that will take this away faster.

Core question number 2:

I feel that my muscle mass is relatively small compared with the amount of time I spend training.

This means that this intensity training is NOT building much visible muscle mass right now.

Yes, muscles are leaner, my abs show better definition.

Again though, it doesn't show as much as I thought.

When I power trained for muscle mass building in the past over a 3 months extended period (some years ago) I could see a significant muscle mass increase. In fact, it was spectacular BUT it was a over a 3 month period, not a week.

That was over a 3 month period and I was focusing some long sessions EXCLUSIVELY on power training with weights.

I had at least 5 x 90 min power training sessions/week with 3 sessions on the upper body and 2 sessions for abs and lower back.

Didn't train specifically the legs as I used them already a lot for jogging + biking.

I was doing little aerobic in that period. Only some light 15 min jogs through the forest.

I was as well using a non raw diet with a combination of salads and cooked meals, morning muesli.

I was using as well protein shakes.

I get the feeling that my calorie intake at that time was as well maybe 20-30% higher than it is now but I am not sure.

Now, back to today:

My body feels great and my muscle mass is not increasing with this training format - It might even melt a tiny bit.

I believe that someone who sees me one month ago and today would see a leaner, thinner body.

I am not skinny.

I feel that I could carry on with this training rhythm easily and that very little further visible changes would take place.

In other terms, I certainly won't build more significant muscle mass with this routine and diet.

Now, muscle mass doesn't need to be a target.

I feel absolutely fantastic and super fit.

I feel as well that my diet is highly optimized.

Overall, I feel that I am now at 95% body optimization.

What I am discussing here is fine tuning.

So, concerning muscle mass, my questions are:
  • Should I aim for higher muscle mass?
  • Should I shift something in my diet?
  • Eat more calories?
  • Add protein shakes?
  • Intensify weight lifting or power training sessions?
I must say that even though I have been training 3 hours/day I can maintain that rhythm relatively easily.

I don't feel stressed by it now.

It means that my routine and diet are STABLE..

I noticed as well that the flour I use does contain at least 10 grams of protein/100 grams.

My questions are:
  • Is there anything I need to change or ad to my diet or training approach?
  • Is higher muscle mass a target I should focus on?

I want to say too that with body fat, calories intake, muscle mass, etc. all these elements are subjective and I have no SOLID way of measuring them.

I look at my body.

I look at the way I feel.

Estimate calories burned by estimating training time.

Etc.

All these are estimates and I agree that they can be imprecise and subjective as well.

So, that's another point where I could take this one step further.
  • Are there any tools (besides scale, mirror and estimations) that I could use to measure my progress?
Something that is simple, direct, easy to use.

Right now, my body looks like the one of a triathlete geared towards endurance.

I feel that my body recovers super fast from 3 hour intensity sessions.

I feel as well that all my body functions are super healthy. I feel that my body is clear from toxins.

I feel as well that EVERYTHING I am doing is stable and I could keep on doing it while increasing further my level of fitness and health.

Another essential point is the fact that I am talking about just 1 week intensity training period so far.

This is a VERY short time for fitness targets.

It is an experiment and my questions before starting were:
  • Can my raw diet take 3 hours/day training? - The answer is 100% YESSSSSSSSS!

  • What happens when I intensify my training the way I just did? - The answer is... Leaner muscles - Burned the last little mid section fat left - No significant muscle mass gain - Slight weight decrease but stable.
So far, it's a total success! I am stunned by my body's response. I love it!

UPDATE - TOO MANY OILS? TOO MUCH HEALTHY FATS?

For the little mid section fat that was not burning fast enough, I might have an answer.

I could have been eating too much fat in the form of olive oil, sesame oil, walnut oil, avocados, coconut cream some cashews and maybe more.

These are the sources of healthy fat I can think off that I am using right now.

It could very well be that I am using too much of these, especially the oils twice a day in the salads and energy mixes.

I as well go through 4 avocados a week.

I have the feeling that this could be it.

Not sure though.

I need to test it and this is what I will do over this next week starting today: cut back the amount of healthy fats I take in.

UPDATE - IT'S WORKING

After one week of testing, cutting down the fats is really working.

I probably take now only half the amount of fat I took the week before and it works.

The midsection light fat that I still had  is melting.

What I did is simple:
  • Shifted from 4 avocados/week to 2/week.
  • Instead of pouring oils directly from the bottle into the salad bowl, I now measure 1 table to 2 table spoons.
  • I probably cut by half the amount of coconut cream in my smoothies.
  • I cut a bit the amount of seed mix I put in the my salads.
These are HEALTHY fats and I believe it is important to keep them in my diet.

I simply did cut by half the amounts I take in.

I have a couple more nutrition strategies I tested this week ass wll but will create new articles soon for these ones... Still testing...



After one week of intensity training, results start showing up - NOTE

I started one week ago at the gym alternating with outdoor forest track and a bit of swimming.

Total an average of 2 hours training a day with body pump classes with weights and other aerobic followed by an hour weight training.

I feel I am burning good calories and feel as well, arms and chest getting way more defined.

Legs are already strong due to regular biking and jogging.

The point here was to get abs to be more defined and as well, leaner muscles in the chest and arms area.

So far, it does work and after just one week of this intense training, I feel my body's performance still rising.

With going full raw 3 months ago, I already felt my body getting closer to its 95% potential.

What was still imperfect had to do with still some unwanted fat on the belly area.

Some of it is gone.

I also carefully look at the calorie intake and make sure that I don't cross the line and stop eating before I am full.

With morning smoothies as well, I drink less than what I used to and wait to feel slightly hungry before drinking more.

Usually when lunch time comes, I am ready for the balanced energy mix with seeds, veges and flower.

So far, really so good.

This daily training schedule does require some solid discipline as I am training up to 3 hours some days.

Love it so far.

Some questions that arise:

Is there something I need to modify diet wise.

  • Should I go back to taking some protein in the form of fish or stick to a purely raw diet?
  • Should I cut a bit on oils?
  • is there something else I should try?

I have the feeling that the some of the belly fat left could melt faster but I am not sure how to do this faster...

I would love to find a strategy that gets these results faster.

I have the feeling that a strategy exists and I am not sure what it is yet.

By the way, I used to fluctuate between 74-78 kg

Now, I see that I fluctuate between 71-74 kg with natural daily variations up to 3 kg which is stunning.

I go to bed one day at 74 and wake up the following morning at 71.

This means that some solid metabolic processes go on even while I sleep.

This could be due to the healing process after training + hydration loss during the night.

I feel that this overall weight drop is due to going full raw.

I didn't make a solid effort before entering into this new intense training phase, so my guess is that dropping the cheese and going full raw did it.

I might have burned some visceral body fat and my figure looks lighter too. I feel lighter and enjoy any physical activity way more.

If I happen to overeat slightly at lunch, I feel the digestive impact in the afternoon very fast.

So, right now, I am really in the process of optimizing my calorie intake through feeling. I don't count calories but simply observe my hunger level.

I try to keep it at 0% and sometimes go slightly to 10% just before lunch. (not sure what scale to use for hunger levels, and how to quantify this - I'll need to check that)

I feel now lighter when I jog and got to Switzerland already in very good shape.

I noticed as well that aligning 3 hours training a day with 30 min uphill bike riding to the gym, fitness sessions followed by weight training is ok.

My body and mind can take it relatively easily.



What to do when you see your friends, family members or partner getting out of shape? - ARTICLE

I know... Frustrating, right?

Well, it doesn't have to be that way.

To reach that place where you can relax no matter what other people do, look at life from another place.

Realize that what is important to you might not be important to others.

What happens when you try to force something on others?

They rebel, right?

They defend their freedom to choose what they want.

Guess what?

They are right!

It's their life not yours!

You can't take responsibility for other people's choices!

If you look at your own life, you will see dozens of small or big things that could be fixed or changed.

I agree, you might be in good shape but your finances could be in a mess.

Or you are single and can't find a partner.

Or your business venture is collapsing.

My point is that trying to control what is not yours, someone else's body, mind and choices is pointless.

You were never given the right to do so.

So, what happens if you are into healthy living and they are not?

Well, eventually you spend less time with them and tend to refresh your social circle.

It happens naturally.

Even with a partner for instance. You might split because these key life choices don't match.

It happens all the time!

Suppose that you are into hiking and your best friend is not?

See?

You either give up hiking, try to convince your best friend to join you or simply find people who have the same interests as you.

I believe that people often spend way too much time worrying about other people's choices and not enough about their own life.

I see this ALL the time when I coach.

I see people getting frustrating because of trying hard to positively influence others without getting results.

If you are trapped in that pattern, you need to do just one thing:

LET GO!

LET GO OF TRYING TO CONTROL SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE!

It is REALLY that simple!

It doesn't mean that you don't try, ok?

You do try but lower your expectations.

For instance if you sign up at a gym and know that a good friend could benefit from it, give them a call, tell them it would be fun to do that together and LET IT GO!

If they don't say yes the first time, you can mention it again a few weeks later VERY CASUALLY!

No pressure!

Set them free.

What if you see them destroying their health through wrong life choices?

The best way to go is to tell them that you are not here to tell them what to do but if they are open for it, you'll be happy to help them shift negative habits.

I can warn you already!

When you engage your energy in trying to help someone like a good friend, it can quickly become VERY frustrating if you see no results.

So again, my advice is: look at your own life and ask yourself:

"Is there anything that needs attention in my own life"

The second question you can ask yourself is:

"What will be more fruitful? Me spending weeks trying to help that person with zero guarantees and little results? Or me investing this exact energy and solve whatever needs to be fixed in my own life?"

You know the answer, right?

You have way more control over your own life than over someone else's!

There is an exception to that:

It is if you are a parent or are responsible for someone else's well being or education.

You can for instance be a professional working in the wellness field.

Or you are a parent and need to teach your kids positive life style choices.

Yes! There are many situations in which you can positively influence someone else's life.

However the best way to influence is often by leading the way through example.

That's often all which is needed.



How can you experience Chi? - TIP

You are experiencing it EVERY day! Every second! All the time!

Chi IS life force! It is Shakti!

The moment you are born, life force flows through you. That's what keeps you alive. That's CHI!

Life is magical by itself. We simply forget how magical it is because we get USED to being alive.

We get used to a certain flow of Chi or life force in our system.

What most people want to experience is an ACCELERATION or INTENSIFICATION of that life force.

Well, in fact you can raise your Chi but in my experience, it is often not as spectacular as we think it is.

You will often experience it as a gradual process while your energy level keeps rising over a certain period of time.

If you practice hatha yoga regularly, you will for instance feel your vibration increasing over a certain period of time.

It could take 2 to 3 months.

During these intense practice periods, you feel your being gently sliding towards a state of bliss or mystical trance.

You feel an inner space opening up.

That's due to the increase of Chi.

Chis is the energy in your body.

Chi is what flows through your meridians or nadis.

So, when you practice yoga, you open up these channels and train your body to be able to channel more energy.

This is a VERY vast topic and what I am sharing here is only a tiny fraction of what you can experience.

You can trigger more spectacular or explosive Chi flow through very simple techniques.

Remove shame or guilt!

Somehow, society has developed this attitude or energy towards sexual desire, sexual exchange.

It feels like sexual desire for someone is something that people should be ashamed of.

Why?

Why did it come to that?

Take this example:

Suppose you are a man.

You go to a party.

You start chatting with this girl.

You start feeling aroused by her presence.

You start having fantasies about having sex with her right there.

Now, would you tell her?

Of course not, right?

The question is: WHY?

WHY NOT?

Is it "inappropriate"?

Is it insulting?

Do you diminish her in any way by feeling sexual desire towards her?

Something is happening in your mind and body right there.

This thing is sexual desire.

It is because of sexual desire that people have sex, procreate and each one of us is alive on this planet because of it!

We should be thankful for sexual desire and celebrate each time we feel it!

Really!

It is a delicious emotion that brings sparks of energy in people's lives.

Where did the shame come from?

Who defines what's appropriate or not?

Why would sex be something dirty that needs to be hidden?

Do you realize how much these beliefs shape society and human interactions?

In the example I mentioned above, what you really say when you express your desire to have sex with her is:

"I find you incredibly attractive and while I enjoy this conversation with you, I feel like touching your hair and kissing your lips.

I want to remove your clothes, be naked together and engage in a sexual dance with you. I am filled with desire to have you in my arms..."

See?

Beautiful, right?

You just gave her a whole set of delicious compliments.

You told her that you like her, appreciate her beauty and are profoundly touched by her presence.

You feel a connection and want to express that connection.

By the way, if you are a woman feeling sexual desire for a man, the same applies. Same if you are gay as well.

That's what I see.

Sexual desire is a gift!

Feeling it is a blessing!

These are the usual things but there is one more that I think is the key!

More than that! It is about being able to fulfill and man's profound sexual desires.

The key is tantric sex or taoist sex.

What does that mean?

That you know how to trigger and stimulate a man's desire.

You can trigger it through your attitude, the way you touch him, the way you stimulate him sexually.

"Hamburgers kill you" labels on big macs? Coming soon? - NOTE

Nowadays, cigarette packages carry a label "Smoking kills you", right?

I guess how big this label is and what it says depends on the country's regulation.

I just found out that the European Union is planning to set up a system where bad food will be labelled as well.

This French article says that the makers of Nutella for instance (which is composed of 60% sugar) might have soon to ad to their labels that their product is "Dangerous for your health".

The final label or regulation might not be as blunt as this statement but I believe this is a good step in the right direction.

That's incredible news as so many consumers bombarded by brainwashing ads still think that giving Nutella to their kids is healthy!

yeah! right!

That's really good news!

How to shift to raw food when you have kids, a partner or friends who are not into it - TIP

This is one of the core strategies to succeed with raw food!

Most of you will have a partner or kids or friends you prepare meals for, right?

Sometimes, these people resist the idea of eating raw.

When you bring up the idea and talk about it, they often come up with loads of objections.

You can of course answer their questions and especially tell them clearly that YOU RESPECT THEIR CHOICES!

Often, your social circle or family feels threatened because they might feel that you try to impose your choices on them.

They might feel you judge them for not making the same choices as you do.

They might interpret that in fact as you telling them that you are a better person than them.

This often triggers a competitive, arguing or defensive response.

To avoid all that, tell them again things like:

  • The fact that I eat raw doesn't mean that I am a better person than you.
  • These are my choices and I am not here to challenge you or impose anything on you.
  • You can relax, I won't pressure you.
  • I totally respect your choices.
  • You are absolutely free to eat what you want.
  • Etc.

When you communicate that way, it releases the tension and allows everyone to relax.

Here is what you can do next:

When you are the one preparing meals, make big quantities of the raw and less of the cooked.

For instance, make twice as much salad. Ad some nuts, fresh greens and ad a nice raw dressing.

That way, when your kids, partner or friends will find it very easy to taste your dishes.

When I test this, I ALWAYS see people tasting these raw dishes and liking them.

I tested that with all sorts of recipes, with friends, family, kids.

It ALWAYS works.

You might need to refine your recipes and try this a few times if the first test is not a full success.

The point is that when people are confronted with raw choices, they usually try them and like them.

You have to let go of trying to convince those around you through discussions and arguments.

Instead, simply prepare the raw dishes and let them try them in their own time.

If they say, they don't really like it, LISTEN!

Understand why! They might have a point!

Listen very carefully to what they say and modify some recipes according to their wishes.

If you already are into raw food, it is something YOU can learn from as well.

I can tell you that, when I first started, I liked what I prepared but the smoothies and salads I prepared where not tasty enough for others.

I started adding more oils, fresh herbs nuts and seeds and now, these dishes are no longer just for me.

Others can enjoy them too.

One more point: don't try to get your family or social circle to shift to 100% raw at first.

That's one of the core mistakes you can make! Believing that it must be all or nothing.

It is absolutely NOT the case.

Give them all the space they need to evolve progressively, IN THEIR OWN TIME, to a healthier diet.

Once they get used to more salads, they might start preparing them themselves.

They might start with fresh smoothies.

What's important is that THEY OWN the choices they make!

...Rather then doing something because they feel forced to.

I tried everything! - Nothing worked! - TIP

I am always stunned when I hear people using that one as an excuse not to get back in shape.

Think about it for a few seconds...

OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T TRY EVERYTHING!

When you say you tried everything, you use what is called a cognitive distortion.

You overgeneralize one or a few experiences you had.

What you really mean to say is:
  • Here are the strategies I tried
  • Here are the road blocks I faced
  • Here is when I gave up
When you lay it down in this way, it makes it very easy to pin point exactly where this specific strategy failed to get you where you wanted to be.

You might realize that you tried dividing your daily calories intake by two, went on for a week, found it too hard to be hungry all the time and eventually gave up.

Or you might see that you decided to train 2 hours every day, after 1 month you started seeing some solid results. Then you faced some challenges at work which sent you off track with your training approach.

These are the REAL stories.

There is no shame in giving up.

No need to try to cover it up with some generalized statement that silently implies that you are simply not meant to be fit.

All these are excuses!

They are stories you tell yourself, family and friends to justify the fact that you did not reach your targets.

Here is the real truth:

For most people, feeling hungry sucks!

It is really that simple!

Most people can maintain a suppressive strategy for a few weeks but eventually run out of will power.

What about exercise routines?

Same story! It can feel like you get nowhere, running on a tread mill day after day!

Getting back in shape seems to burn most of your will power in no time.

This is REALITY.

I believe that's the reason why most people in fact give up on their weight loss resolutions.

IT'S NOT FUN ENOUGH!

So...

No denial, ok?

Next time someone asks you your story, tell them the REAL story.

Yes, this could mean that they come up with a new solution for you and suggest you go back to battle.

That's the thing: when you give up, you go back to your comfort zone and stop fighting.

I know I am being tough on you here, but I simply want you to wake up because I care.

Staying or getting back in shape IS a battle.

If you want to give up, you will always find a ready made excuse to drop it.

On the other hand, I am 100% convinced that with some core solid strategies, anyone can be in good shape.

Your new motto from now on must be:

"NO EXCUSE!"

It is NOT rocket science!
