I know I am here for a reason, and I feel that I am called to do something very important here but I don't know what it is. How do I find that something? How do I connect with Spirit - God?

Good to hear from you. The best way to connect is to integrate in your life, in the core of your activities, emotions, thoughts, something that reminds you of your universal or cosmic identity. We are individuals living on this planet but we are as well cosmic citizens with the ability to expand our awareness beyond the usual limits of our personality.
Here is a simple technique: "Aham " is a Sanskrit word. It means "I am". Sit down with your back straight and simply repeat that word internally. It is an affirmation of your life force, an affirmation of your existence on this planet. Don't focus on the outcome. Simply practice that a few minutes every day for a week or so...
The idea is to get a technique, integrate it, and move on to the next one. Tell me how this feels in a week or so, I can tell you more.
To find out about your life purpose, take a white paper and write down this word: life purpose. Then simply write down what comes to your mind. Don't think too much. simply put down ideas that come to your mind. This is the first step.
